Ever go to select a color with the eyedropper tool and it applies the color as a stroke instead of a fill? With this helpful eyedropper tool trick, you can easily grab a stroke color of one shape and apply it to the fill of another shape and vice versa!

Copy Stroke Color To Fill Color

  1. Make sure the picker for Fill Color icon is on top in the tool bar.

  2. Select your object you want the color applied to.

  3. Click the Eyedropper Tool (Command + I).

  4. Click and hold the Shift key and click the shape’s stroke color that you want copied.


Copy Fill Color To Stroke Color

  1. Make sure the picker for Stroke Color icon is on top in the tool bar.

  2. Select your object you want the color applied to.

  3. Click the Eyedropper Tool (Command + I).

  4. Click and hold the Shift key and click the shape’s fill color that you want copied.
